Giuliano Mazzuoli - founder of 365

The story of Giuliano Mazzuoli begins in the 1960s when he takes over the management of the family business founded in 1953 by his father Angelo in Tavarnelle Val di Pesa.

The company produced notebooks and address books for the Florentine leather trade. In the 1970s Mazzuoli turns his attention towards the world of graphic arts and printing and the company starts collaborating with important fashion houses, furniture and industrial design companies. The experience Giuliano Mazzuoli builds in this sector motivates him to start his own brand and launches 3.6.5.

In 1993 the agenda book with the turn-page system with a lot of room for notes, the Stifflexible line with the stiff but fl exible covers, as well as the notebooks with lines that are wavy instead of straight were introduced. The success of these products is such that prestigious organizations like the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York begin collaborating with Mazzuoli.

In the year 2000 Mazzuoli starts producing writing instruments. These were not just common pens but pens inspired by tools he had observed as a child in his grandfather’s bicycle workshop.

Then one day, while he was talking on the telephone, Mazzuoli got the inspiration for the Moka line of pens and the coffeemachine pens similar to the famous design by Alfonso Bialetti from 1930 were born. In 2004 Mazzuoli realized his most ambitious project yet.

It was the Manometro, a stainless steel wristwatch with a high-precision Swiss movement that Mazzuoli made become a status symbol with a marketing program focusing around a word-of-mouth campaign amongst VIPs and an exclusive clientele.

Today, the Florentine artisan runs the company together with his sons to which he has transmitted his passion for creativity, design, and the production of high quality products that are completely Made in Italy!!!
